So... to summarize my computer problems in the shortest way possible. I keep getting black screen crashes whenever I play a game. Some games can be played for about a half an hour to an hour in then my desktop will power off. I can play Skyrim and go outside and the game will crash in under a minute.
Because I cannot find out why its crashing(no crash log event gets recorded and no blue screen error) I will end up getting replacement parts for components that may or may not be broken. I have ruled out hard drive, memory, operating system, CPU. Not sure if its my mother board, power supply unit or my graphics card. I only have crashes when playing games and it can be literally any game.
I figure if it were my mother board my computer would let me know something was terribly wrong. If it were my PSU then why would my PC start, why would it crash just during games.
I don't think its an issue with temperatures as I can play skyrim and crash in under a minute if I go outside however if I idle inside I can have the game running for an hour easily.
Technology = bleh...
At this point I wish a major component would just outright fail. At least I would know that that component needs to be replaced. None of the tools I have used have been able to identify a specific problem. My graphics cards fans seems to turn off temporarily on windows start which has never happened before and the gpu fans on occasion speed way up when I DO get a black screen crash.
The other possibility is the power supply is bad but I had some technicians tell me it was ok.
